How Our Dream Became Reality

Hello, fellow adventurers!

My name is Laura, and I am excited to share a thrilling chapter of my life with you. I’m embarking on a world trip with my best friend, Chris, and my lovable dog, Gappie. You might be wondering, “How long will this journey last?” The answer is simple: as long as we desire!

Chris has long dreamed of this adventure. After he sadly lost his dogs, the urge to live out his travel dream grew stronger. Now that the moment has arrived, he is ready to hit the road.

But here’s the exciting part: Chris has a creative plan. He wants to transform our camper into a tattoo shop on wheels!

At first, the thought of Chris traveling without me was hard to accept. He’s my best friend, and I couldn't imagine missing out on such an incredible friend. Thankfully, in a light-hearted moment, Chris asked, “Are you going with me?”

Suddenly, everything clicked into place. Yes! As long as Gappie could join us, I was all in.

Now, the brainstorming began...

The Camper Renovation

One of the crucial steps in our journey was to renovate the camper and caravan (tattooshop). We wanted the space to be functional, cozy, and stylish.

Chris and I dedicated countless hours to researching camper and caravan renovations and found various examples online. We explored:

• DIY videos on YouTube where others showcased their transformations.

• Pinterest boards filled with creative ideas for small living spaces.

• Local workshops that offered renovation seminars.

  
  

Our goal was to create an inviting tattoo shop environment that felt like home. The entire renovation process was a combination of challenges and triumphs.

We painted the walls beige, laid down beautiful grey tile vinyl flooring, and even constructed a small work station for tattoos. Every inch of the caravan reflects our creativity and love for the project.

Funding Our Adventure

As we planned our world trip, we understood the importance of a sound financial strategy.

Chris had some savings, but we knew it wouldn’t cover an extended trip. So, we explored various options to generate income while on the road. Here are two key ideas we embraced:

1. Mobile Tattoo Shop: Utilizing Chris's skills, we can offer tattoos at different locations. Research shows that mobile tattoo businesses can help artists earn between $50 to $200 per hour, depending on their experience and location.

2. WebStore: We also plan to set up a webshop to sell natural products discovered during our travels. This could provide an additional income stream.

   
   

These strategies will help us share our experiences and promote unique items we find along our journey.

Traveling with Gappie

One of the most important parts of our journey is Gappie.

He’s not just a pet; he’s family. Traveling with a dog requires extra planning, but we are determined to make it work. We have taken steps to ensure Gappie’s comfort, including:

• Researching dog-friendly campsites and parks: We found several excellent spots in major national parks that accommodate pets.

  
  

• Dog-friendly events: We discovered several events that welcome furry friends across different states, allowing Gappie to accompany us while we work.

  
  

Gappie will be our little adventure buddy, and we look forward to exploring the world together!
